A. J. Duggan was born in Liverpool in 1963 and can't remember ever having any literary career plans. English Literature was the only O-level he failed.

He began writing after being caught up in the 1996 Manchester Arndale bomb, which destroyed a large part of the city centre. The end result is his first novel, 'Scars Beneath The Skin.'

He lives in Cheshire and works in the computer industry.
